MSH Gel to Regrow Decayed Teeth

On July 29, 2010, in Dental Care, Research, by Dinesh

Scientists at the National Institute for Health and Medical Research in Paris have come up with a new treatment to help decayed teeth regrow. They have developed a new gel which stimulates cells in decayed teeth to regrow within weeks!

The major ingredients of this gel are MSH (melanocyte stimulating hormone) and poly-L-glutamic acid.

The procedure to apply the MSH gel is painless and will provide a permanent solution to teeth decay. The gel is undergoing trials right now and is expected to be available for commercial use in a period of three to five years.

The findings of this study have been published in the American Chemical Society journal ACS Nano.

Once the MSH gel hits pharma shop shelves – it will signal an end to painful teeth fillings. Surely a boon for tens of millions of people worldwide who suffer from teeth decay and dental cavities.

How to Prevent Stretch Marks

On March 14, 2010, in Skin Care, by Dinesh

Prevention is always better than cure. It is specially true in the case of Stretch Marks. We must also realize that these precautionary measures to prevent stretch marks do not offer a 100% guarantee.

Stretch Marks are a common occurance during pregnancy. Puberty, periods of rapid weight gain, and weight loss are other factors which cause Stretch Marks.

Stretch Marks occur when the top/dermis layer of skin breaks, causing the lower layers of skin to show through.

Following tips should help in preventing stretch marks :

* Drink lots of water. Water helps keep the skin hydrated. It increases the elasticity of the top dermis layer, reducing the possibility of it breaking. Nutritionists recommend drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily.

* Eat a balanced diet. It ensures our skin gets all the nutrients required.

* Gain weight steadily. If you are pregnant or on a weight gain diet – try to gain weight steadily. Weight gain can be difficult to control during pregnancy. Incase you are concerned about the rate of weight gain please consult your gynaecologist.

* Lose weight steadily. Whether its exercise or weight loss diets – aim for the long term. Losing excess weight rapidly may cause Stretch marks and is also bad for your general health.

Preventing Stretch Marks is not an exact science. However, following these tips will certainly reduce the possibility of your beauty being affected by them.

If you already have stretch Marks. Stretch Marks removal creams and lotions are the only way out.
